The closing weekend of the Ostend Film Festival (FFO) was festively kicked off on Friday 7 February with the Ensors Gala. The Ensors, the most important film awards in Flanders, were presented at the Kursaal in Ostend.
Skunk was awarded the Ensor for Best Film, and also cashed in on the nomination for Best Make-up (Evalotte Oosterop). The Ensor for Best Documentary Film went to the Oscar-nominated Soundtrack to a Coup d’Etat. The documentary’s editor, Rik Chaubet, was also named Promise of the Year with the support of BNP Paribas Fortis.
